Discovery Groups - Small Groups for Kids!
Discovery Groups fuse the Bible and friendships into everyday life. You child will be mentored by the same adult leader for up to 6 kids on a weekly basis. The group will learn how God can help them through everyday situations, how to study God’s Word, to pray, and serve others. Your child will love the zany skits, wacky games, and cool crafts that make Discovery Groups never boring. Ages (2yrs.-5th gr.)
Joylands One-Hour Worship Service
Joylands is an one-hour worship for your child where he or she experience God through music, video, inter-active storytelling, crafts, and games. Joylands has monthly themes that bring God to real life. You'll recieve a "Fridge Note; sheet to take home for the refrigrator to remind the whole family of what they learned all week. We believe all children can experience God in their own way. That's why we offer Worship for 2/3 year olds as well as older children. Joylands for 2/3 year olds allows time for your child to play and helps them sing, pray and respond to the Bible story in ways that are appropriate for his or her age level. Joylands Worship meets children where they are so they can experience God each week and leave strengthened and assured of God's love. Ages (2/3 yrs, and 4 yrs.-5th gr.)
Fabtastic Fridays is a great time for Joylands to support the need for parents to have adult time. Kids also have a great time hanging together and its a great place to invite friends to Christ Church for the first time. The cost is low but the activities are fun. Always be sure to register your child and their guests before the registration deadline. Check the News & Events page for details. Ages (K-5th gr.)
Ministry on the Go! is a way for kids to experience the joy of serving others. Kids change and grow as they help the elderly with a craft project or play a game. Their hearts are changed as they spread God's love to those in need throughout Lexington and the world. Kids visit a nursing home once a month, help gather food and supplies for those in need, have a party at the shelters or simply help the church with a special need. It's a life-transforming ministry. Praises.com lets kids use singing, drama and dance to lead others in Worship and serve the community. Praises.com sings with the Praise Band in adult worship on special occasions throughout the year along with using their gifts in "Ministry on the Go" and other activities throughout the year. It's a fun way to learn how to sing, act or dance. Ages (K-5th gr.) Preschoolers help with the Christmas play each year as well.
Parents Day Out is a supportive ministry to parents or guardians who need time during the week for work or activities. Children are provided with quality care each day. There is an emphasis on teaching children about the love of God while also providing age appropriate learning time. Socialization skills are developed through large and small group activities. Station work promotes cognitive development. Indoor/outdoor play promotes large motor skills. Circle time includes singing songs, reading Bible stories, daily calendar and weather updates. Craft time each day focuses on developing skills and reinforcing the theme of the day. Registration is required along with a tuition fee.
