Lead Pastor: Tim Steffen
Pastor Tim returned to the Lexington area in June 2018 after 30 years of pastoral ministry in Georgia. Tim is a graduate of Lafayette High School, the University of Kentucky (bleeds blue) and Asbury Theological Seminary. His wife Delia is employed by Jessamine County Schools. They have three adult children, Jacob, Rebekah and Jordan. He enjoys kayaking, hiking and watching college football and basketball. Tim is excited about the fresh ways God is using Christ Church to make faithful followers of Jesus.
Children & Family Pastor: Brenda Story
Brenda got her seminary training at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore and is a Deacon in the United Methodist Church. She’s married to John, who is a clinical psychologist and professor at BCTCS. She also has a son Daniel and daughter-in-law, Catelynn. Brenda enjoys being outdoors hiking, swimming, etc. Helping kids and their families discover God and live everyday-life on mission is her passion.
Youth Pastor: Andy McSpadden
Andy received his seminary training from Asbury Theological Seminary and has served as youth pastor since May of 1999. Alyssa, his wife, is an intervention teacher for Fayette County. They are the parents of three boys, Wilson, Luke, and Tyler. Andy loves outdoor adventure sports such as backpacking, rappelling, biking, and rock climbing. Andy has a passion for working with students and seeing them come into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and mature in their faith.
Worship Leader: Martha Shannon
Martha is a Special Education teacher at Morton Middle School with degrees from Asbury University and Vanderbilt University. She is married to Steve, executive director of KARP (Kentucky Association for Regional Programs). They have two daughters; Katie is a graduate of Xavier University, and Annie attends DePaul University. Music has always been a way that helped Martha connect with God. As Worship Leader, she is excited to draw others to God through music.
